Garden, 2009

The first two pictures are of the "Living Fence" that I have been trying to grow for about 5 years. Only the forsythia on the west edge are doing well. The rest are just barely hanging on.

This is the front garden. The bachelor buttons have spread all over. The original came back (perennial), but also spread nearby. I love these flowers, which, if you deadhead, or take off blooms when they are finished blooming, keep on coming on.

Looks like something has been eating these tulips.

Lilacs

Strawberries

This is where the raised gardens will go. They will be 8' by 4'. We will put up two this year, one that is 12' high and one that will be 14' high (for carrots, etc.
The first picture is of where I was waterproofing the boards. Dan, that is the wagon I was talking about.

If you look closely, you can see where the porch will be added upon. It has crushed limestone for its outline.

That picnic table, another fine example of my clever engineering and quality workmanship, was assembled back in 1986, the first summer in this house. That makes this table older than Kevin! It is 8 ft long by 35" wide, can comfortably seat 10 people, and cost about $75 to build from scratch. I'd say we got our money's worth.
